Neapolitan is a tomato-based pasta dish that originated in Japan. It is said that the dish was born after the war, when a coffee shop owner saw American soldiers pouring tomato ketchup over their pasta. It is a popular recipe that is cheap and easy to make.

This time, since it was summer, I used eggplant and bell peppers, but other vegetables such as onions would also be delicious. You can also use sausage instead of ham to make it even tastier.

Step by Step Instructions

,Step 1

Cut the hum, the green bell peppers into round slices, and the aubergines into chunks.
Fry the green bell peppers first  in a frying pan.
Fry the aubergine and ham too.

Step 2

Add ketchup, oyster sauce, milk, salt and pepper.
Please, Make the sauce.

Step 3

Please boil the pasta.
And Mix the pasta with the sauce.

Step 4

Please, put a fried egg on top.
However, it is tasty enough without the fried egg. Some people even arrange it with powdered cheese and ketchup etc.

Neapolitan will only increase carbohydrate intake if you only use pasta. If you eat it with more vegetables and other ingredients, you will get enough balanced nutrition on its own.
